NAU Counseling Services

COUNSELING SERVICES CONTINUES TO PROVIDE TELEHEALTH SUPPORT TO ALL NAU STUDENTS

We remain committed to your health and well-being

In order to do our part to stop the spread of the current pandemic, Counseling Services will provide support to students physically located in Arizona exclusively via telehealth counseling for the Fall 2020 semester. We ask that you please call in first if you are interested in initiating services. You will be connected with one of our medical or mental health providers for a telehealth appointment.  This call-first procedure is in place to better serve you, increase efficiency, and ultimately minimize risk for the NAU community.

Please visit our COVID-19 Resources page for additional mental health support

If you are interested in ongoing counseling, or are simply looking for mental health support, please visit our “Services” page for more information about scheduling a Path to Care appointment.

Note About Current Social Climate

We at Counseling Services are aware of the recent tragedies and injustices impacting Black and African-American communities. Please visit our Commitment to Diversity page for information regarding Counseling Services’ response and related resources.

Supporting student mental health and well-being

Many students receive help with:

  • adjustment to college
  • relationships
  • depression
  • eating concerns
  • anxiety and stress
  • substance abuse
  • academic issues
  • career and vocational issues

Our services are tailored to the individual needs of each student. We offer individual and couples counseling, group counseling, crisis services, outreach, and consultation about students of concern.  Counseling Services staff members do not write letters of support for assistance animals at the request of a client/student.
